Sean O'Donnell is a professional trumpet player and teacher in the Chicagoland area. A native of San Diego, California, Sean attended high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy. He graduated from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in 2012 with his Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance, where he studied with Joey Tartell.
Sean is a substitute musician with the Northbrook Symphony and a member of the Chicago Metropolitan Brass Ensemble. He was Principal Trumpet of the Classical Symphony Orchestra of Chicago from 2013-2016 and has performed with the DuPage Symphony, Andrew Blake Band, Lake County Symphony and the Wheaton Municipal Band. He is the trumpet teacher at Adlai E. Stevenson High School, Palatine High School, Notre Dame College Prep and has taught for the Ravinia Festival's El Sistema program, bringing music education to underprivileged communities.
