Patron of the Arts
Here at OHS, we want our students to be well-rounded supporters of the arts. That is why we have a program called "Patron of the Arts" for all of our curricular bands. Every term, students must go to some kind of arts presentation (concert, art exhibition, dance recital, etc.) each semester. As of the 2016-2017 school year, we have done away with the project element that used to exist with this, and instead put the importance of actually seeing the event. Students must show proof that they were at the event, which can be done a number of ways. 1) Here at school, we provide sign-in and sign-out sheets for our events, so we can see who was there. 2) You can show us a program/ticket signed by a parent with parental contact via phone/email. 3) You can show us a selfie of you ate the event that makes it OBVIOUS that you were there.
