Corey Sansolo

Corey Sansolo is the trombonist for Axiom Brass and the director of the DC Trombone Workshop. He has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and in musicals at the Paramount Theater in Aurora. Corey teaches low brass lessons at Oswego High School, Oswego East High School, Oak Park River Forest High School and The People’s Music School. Additionally, he is the trombone instructor at Millikin University and Valparaiso University and has taught masterclasses and clinics at colleges and universities across the United States, including Northwestern University and the University of Chicago here at home. Outside of music Corey loves to spend time with his baby daughter, wife, and cat and cheer on the Chicago Sky and New York Mets. He has degrees in trombone performance from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Maryland.
