Music Apps

In this "Age of Technology", there is no reason why a student can not have loads of helpful material, right at their finger tips. Here are some apps for your smartphones and/or tablets, many of them free!!!
The Tonal Energy Tuner is my favorite tuner app...it has all the bells and whistles you could ever want in a tuner, plus a metronome built in. Tuning, volume, articulation, release, duration, and steadiness are the key elements of developing a beautiful tone quality. Tonal Energy Tuner is the first multi-purpose application that allows users of all ages to understand and improve every aspect of their sound.
For jazzers, this is a must have app. You start off with over 500 jazz standards, and can download thousands more for free. You can play them in any key and in any tempo you want, as well as export the tunes to your iPod, and print out the songs as sheet music.
Most people don't need anything fancy here, and there are so many great free metronome apps that any of them will usually suffice.
