On Saturday, September 19th, the OHS Panther Marching Band had their most successful competition in their three years of competing. The band finished tied for 8th place out of the 20 bands participating. Particularly strong categories for the band were in Music, where the band placed 6th overall, and Ensemble Visual, where they placed 4th. Additionally, our fine drum major team finished 5th, and second in their class. We have plenty of room to grow however, and our scores in individual visual showed we need to take more ownership of what we are doing by ourselves, to match the good things that we are doing as a group.
We are looking forward to an action-packed two weeks for the PMB. We perform at our annual Panther Marching Band Review tomorrow, then the East game on our home turf Friday night. The Victor J. Andrew competition follows that on Saturday, with our Homecoming Parade on Sunday. Thanks for all your support so far this season!!!
