Ms. Silosky earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in May, 2006.  Participating in a variety of ensembles throughout her time at U of I, Ms. Silosky performed with the University’s  Wind Ensemble, Concert Bands, Jazz Bands and Athletic Bands, including the Marching Illini.  In addition to having acted as president for the U of I National Band Association Student Chapter, she also conducted the Illini Union Board 2005 Musical, “Guys and Dolls”.   Furthermore, Ms. Silosky participated in activities outside of U of I, including marching mellophone  with the GLASSMEN DRUM & BUGLE CORPS during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.   Her professional memberships include the Illinois Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and The National Band Association.

Mr. Schoenbach earned his Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education and Music Performance at Northern Illinois University in 2000. While at NIU, he performed in the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Marching Band, JazzVox, Jazz Combo, Trombone Ensemble, and the much heralded NIU Jazz Ensemble, with which he played with Wynton Marsalis, Slide Hampton, and Jimmy Heath to name a few. Other collegiate performing highlights include winning the Denver Harmony Sweepstakes and singing the national anthem at several Bears games with his vocal quintet, Octane. After NIU, Mr. Schoenbach spent two years in Lockport as the Taft Grade School Director of Music, handling band, choir, and general music classes. From there it was on to Timothy Christian School in Elmhurst, where he spent six years as the Director of Bands in a 5-12 program, taking his high school group to Disneyworld twice and to San Antonio. Mr. Schoenbach teaches private low brass and jazz lessons and has a very active performing life outside of school, with a main part of his playing in the funk group The Manhattan Project.
