OHS Pep Band to play at United Center!!!

On January 9th, the OHS Pep Band will travel to the United Center in Chicago with our basketball team to play Romeoville high school. After the game, we will be going to Navy Pier for some food and fun, and then back to the UC to watch the Bulls take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tickets for students in the pep band are free…they just need money for food and souvenirs. (There is a roster of students that was selected to play based on the amount of pep band games they have come to so far) Parents are welcome and encouraged to come as well, and tickets are on sale for them through the OHS Athletic office for a discounted price of $30. Go Panthers, and go Bulls!!!!
OHS has 7 All-Staters!!!!
This year, Oswego High School is proud to announce that we have 7 students going down to scenic Peoria in late January as part of the IMEA All-State Band or Orchestra. They are: Trumpeters Ken Citro and Brad Donati, oboists Bridget Rodino and Eric Novak, bassoonist Kayla Lee, and floutist Ryan Zerna. In addition to these musicians, Kevi Stredde was chosen in the future music educator’s category.

In addition to the above names, many other students were selected to the All-District Band and Orchestra. These students were trumpeters Jessie Runyon and Colin Bradley, clarinetists Amanda Watts and Megan Gailey, bassoonist Joe Corbino, percussionist Tom Hopkins, and french horn players Hannah Kaitschuk and Deanna Reichardt. In the jazz band category, bass trombonist Justin Smith and alto sax player Maddie Vogler made the top band, and pianist Ben Wooley made the third band. Way to go everyone!!!!!!!!!!
